She took his hand in a Heavenly dance among the stars…

Dorothy was reunited with her loving husband Raymond on Thursday, May 30th at 93 years young. Also preceded in death by her son Ray Jr., grandson Jesse, and parents Catherine and Joseph, she is survived by her daughter Debbie Baker, son David (Alexis), sister Nancy (late Jerry) Aschenbrenner, brother Tony (Sue, late Kathleen) Kujawa, sister-in-law Mary Ann (late Al) Dix, beloved cousins Vince (Mary) Kujawa, dear friend Kathy (David) Gregory, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

“Dot” enjoyed life to the fullest. For several years, she worked alongside Ray and their family as owners of Ray’s Finest Meats on Milwaukee’s South Side. Yearly vacations “Up North” to Eagle River with best friends Betty and Bob Miech (“The Bunkies”) and daughter Kathy were always something to look forward to as so many wonderful memories were made. Las Vegas was a favorite destination of theirs, too! She belonged to many social clubs and enjoyed volunteering as a bartender for several years at Polish Fest. On many Saturday nights, you could find Dot and Ray lighting up the dance floor to Al White at their favorite supper club, The Steakout. She loved to watch Brewers baseball, Notre Dame college football, and golf, but her ultimate, favorite pastime was bowling. Crowned “The Duchess” after 50 years of bowling in a sanctioned league, she was most proud of her many trophies and state championships. In her later years, she enjoyed visiting Florida, seeing her “grand dogs” Sammie and Mindy, and spending time with friends at the White Oaks Apartments where she resided independently.

Many heartfelt thanks to her sister Nancy, niece Gale, friend Rachel, and her Aurora at Home nurses for assisting her to remain in her apartment as long as possible. We are forever grateful to her doctor Leyla Solis, M.D., and to her entire care staff, doctors, and nurses at Aurora at Home Hospice, Aurora Mt. Pleasant Hospital, Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove, Aurora West Allis Memorial, Harwood Place, and Aurora St. Luke’s for the loving care and comfort they provided to her and to our family.
