Dorothy A. Dombrowski

Dorothy A. Dombrowski (Nee Preiser). Dorothy passed away peacefully at her home on July 28, 2021 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank Dombrowski. Also preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Fannie Preiser along with her brothers, Robert (Dorothy), Kenneth (Rose), Ronald (Sharon) and sister Shirley Berges (Roy). She was a proud and loving mother to Todd Richards (Mark Hagen) and Kathy (Brian) Polzynski. Devoted Grandmother to Zoe and Nicholas, whom she adored.   Dorothy owned her own custom drapery business, Drapery Decor, and  ran it out of her basement so she could be home for her kids. She took great pride in her work and was shown in every drape that was hung. She loved to be in her garden and watch the birds.  Always looking for the cardinals.  Dorothy was known for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it was but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. She was tough as nails but had the biggest heart to those she loved. The family would like to thank Aurora At Home Hospice and their staff. We could not have asked for better people for the care and support they provided to us all especially our mom. A special thank you to her good friends Mary and Sue, and wonderful neighbors and friends Lonnie and Peggy, and dear friends Pam and Kelly for all the help and support throughout the years. She cherished your friendship and we will never forget your thoughtfulness.  Visitation Saturday from 10:00-11:30 am at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel with a service at 11:30 am. Private entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Our mom, grandmother, and friend, will be forever missed.
