Mayer, Doris M. (nee Schmidt) Born to Eternal Life on October 20, 2013 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late David R.. Loving mother of Susan Mayer, Debra (David) Ulrich, Scott (Susanne) Mayer and the late David R. Mayer Jr. (Corrine). Proud grandma of Alexandria, Elizabeth, and Victoria Ulrich, Samuel and Sarah Mayer, Jim (Debbie) Mayer, Tom (Marilyn) Drews and Michael Kott. Great Grandma of Gretchen Drews. Dear friend of Darlene Keeling. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Doris was a 30 year dedicated employee of QPS. She enjoyed being part of her son Scott's company from the beginning until the day she retired. She loved to travel with her husband Dave, especially to Las Vegas, a tradition she continued until recently. She loved spending time with her family and thoroughly enjoyed attending her grandchildren's events. She liked to attend Alex, Lizzy and Victoria's dance recitals and competitions, Sammy's go cart races and Sarah's horseback riding lessons. A celebration of Doris's life will be held Wednesday 4-7 pm with a service of remembrance at 7 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel. Private interment St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
