Dorice May Conover

Dorice May (Gies) Conover, 88, went home to Heaven early Friday morning, April 27, 2018, with her daughter by her side. Dorice was a loving, kind hearted women who was known for her outgoing personality and beautiful, radiant smile. In her younger years, she enjoyed figure skating with her two children and competing in ice dance competitions, even sewing her own skating dresses. She has always loved gardening and took great pride in describing the flowers throughout her yard. She had a passion and talent for painting ceramics, and proudly displayed her beautiful pieces throughout her house, she also took pleasure in giving them as gifts. She had a love for music, which she passed on to both of her children, and really enjoyed singing in church. She was an avid world traveler, visiting most countries in the world with her husband. Dorice is preceded in death by her husband James, who she married in 1952, brothers Louis, Russell and Alfred Gies. Beloved Mother of Timothy (Nora Bakr) Conover and Lisa (Kent) Looney. She was a proud Grandma and enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren Eric Conover, Matthew Conover, Michael (Michele) Conover, Nicholas (Kodi Theys) Conover, Joseph (Maranda Luzarowski) Looney, Jacob Bialk, Kaela (Jace) Kramer and Mitchell Bialk. She was also the Great Grandma of Patrick, Michael and Colton Conover. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Private service will be held at Forest Home Cemetery Chapel (2405 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee, WI) on Monday April 30, 2018.
