Donn Charles Robbins

Donn Charles Robbins, 71, of Muskego, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his lakefront home on Monday, October 19, 2020. A devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend, Donn is survived by his mother, Doris Dingee, his wife of 31 years, Carol Robbins (née Thompson), sons, David Robbins (Heidi) and Andrew Robbins (Sheila), daughter Nena Davis (Zachary), five grandchildren, Brookelyn, Brody, Maeve, Paul and Luke, brother, Richard Robbins, and is predeceased by his father, Lester Robbins, and step father, John Dingee. Donn was born on July 12, 1949 in Columbus, Wisconsin to Lester and Doris Robbins. Donn was a 1967 graduate of Columbus High School where he excelled at football, golf, and basketball. He attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, graduating in 1971 with a business degree. In the mid-1970's, Donn enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, serving his country with honor for 6 years. After college, Donn began his career at Del Monte in sales. He moved to American Home Foods and became one of the youngest National Sales Managers in company history. He spent some time with Sales Force and finished out a very successful career as President of Marketing Specialists. There was also a post-retirement stint hawking some jelly beans with a friend. Donn was a true Wisconsinite and an avid Packers, Badgers, and Bucks fan. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, woodworking and occasionally, golf, with his second home being Tuckaway Country Club. This is where he celebrated a "Hole in One" on #8 on October 10th, 2017. A founding member of "The Advil Group", he also won many club events, most recently, the Senior Men's Championship in 2020. He also won multiple Two-Man Best Ball Championships, among other event wins at Tuckaway. Not only was he deeply involved with his beloved Tuckaway, he was very engaged in his community of Muskego, WI, where he and his family lived for more than 30 years. He held multiple leadership roles, including managing improvement projects around his community of Lake Brittany Estates. Above all, Donn loved spending time with his family and friends and always made it a priority to attend his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Friends and family may participate in a visitation at Max A Sass Mission Hills Chapel in Franklin, WI on Monday, October 26th, 2020 from 9AM -1PM. His life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 26th, 2020 at 2 PM at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community (9520 W. Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners). In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
