Donald W. Kuczynski passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Kainz) Kuczynski for 48 years. Dear father of Dean (Stephanie) Kuczynski, Doug (Alora) Kuczynski and Julie Kuczynski. Loving grandfather of Nadia, Keylan and Oliver. Brother of Dave (Judy) Kuczynski. Brother-in-law of Roy Kainz, Kathy Sadowski and Lisa Engelhardt. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Dorothy Kuczynski and in-laws Karl and Rose Kainz. Cherished by his dog Pepé and family dogs Stewie, Storm and Rogue. Also survived by many relatives and friends who loved him beyond words. Don proudly served in the Army, stationed in Germany. He was a retired Design Engineer for Cooper Power Systems of South Milwaukee. In his youth, he enjoyed racing and fixing cars, and in his later years making intricate wood carvings that will be forever treasured. Don was a lifelong handyman, and would do anything he could to help others. He loved spending the day golfing or watching football and baseball games with his sons, traveling near or far with his daughter, and sharing quality time and a good meal with a glass of wine with his wife, who he deeply adored. But it really didn’t matter what he was doing, so long as he was with those he loved. He had a very special place in his heart for his grandkids, and was known for his super-duper hugs. Don was full of integrity, an incredible, gentle, sweet, fun, loving man that defied the odds and left you with a smile on your face and a love you didn’t know was possible. He was a fighter that showed us both the pain and the beauty of being a part of this world. We will forever be in admiration for his resolve in the face of countless challenges for him to declare, “I’m fine.” His impact is immeasurable and he never will be forgotten. He’d jump up to greet you, offer you a beverage and make sure he walked you out when you left. He never liked goodbyes, so until we meet again… Private family services will be held.
