Donald A. Ullman, affectionately known as Don, was born on January 10, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, after a brave ten-and-a-half-month battle with kidney cancer. Don’s life was marked by his deep commitment to both his family and his profession, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by those who knew him.
Don dedicated 38 years of his professional life to serving the City of New Berlin as a patrolman and Streets Supervisor. His colleagues and community members regarded him as a steadfast and reliable figure, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of the area he called home. His work ethic and sense of duty were exemplary, embodying the values of public service.
Beyond his career, Don was a passionate outdoorsman. He found immense joy in hunting and fishing, activities he lovingly shared with his wife, Michele, nee Vicena. Their bond, strengthened over 28 years of marriage, was a testament to their love and devotion. Together, they created countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of their family.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Michele; his beloved daughter, Carri Ullman; and his father, DeWayne Ullman. He is also mourned by his brothers, Ken Ullman, Dennis (Dasa) Ullman, and Gerry (Colleen) Ullman, along with his sister-in-law, Maureen (Rob) Elliott, and brother-in-law, Mark Vicena. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his fur baby, Sunny, and is survived by many other family members and friends who cherished him deeply.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Elizabeth (nee Mueller) whose memory will also be honored during this time of remembrance.
A Celebration of Life for Donald A. Ullman will be held on January 4, 2025, at the Hoeppner-Horn Bros VFW Post 5716 in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The event will begin at 3:00 PM and continue until 7:00 PM, offering friends and family an opportunity to celebrate the rich and meaningful life that Don led.
