Loving father of Kathleen (Robert) Gadwood, Ronald (Cynthia) Pittelkow, Joann (Frank "Fox") Handler, Patricia (Craig) Marmie, Peter (Linda) Pittelkow, Kristine (William) Wrucke and the late Robert R. Pittelkow. Proud grandfather of James and Elizabeth Gadwood, Lindsay and Laura Pittelkow, Danielle Handler, Caitlin, Blake and Joel Marmie, Lily, Eve and Weston Pittelkow and Benjamin, David and Michael Wrucke. Dear brother of Dr. Robert (Barbara) Pittelkow. Dearest son of the late Herbert and the late Cecelia Pittelkow. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S. 116th St., Franklin). Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm at the funeral home and thereafter Thursday 9-9:45 am at the church. Prayer service Wednesday 7:30 pm. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Don graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1943 and went on to attend Marquette University. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps and was a member of St. Martin of Tours. He married Clara Teresa Gordon on August 25, 1951. Don began his working career at Hawthorn Mellody Dairy, moved on to Branovan Shoe Company and later established Hy-Test Safety Shoe Service in 1986. Don's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their compassionate care. Memorials to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society appreciated.
