Grube, Donald D. Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on March 3, 2011, age 70. Beloved husband to Patricia (nee Duszynski) for 48 years. Proud father of Suzette Grube-Thur (Timothy). Cherished grandfather to Tyler. Dear son-in law of Edwin (late Jean) Duszynski. Loving brother to Bruce (Lori), Mary, Jean (Jerry) Griswold, and Dean (Roberta) and brother-in law to Adrian (Pam) Duszynski and Dolores (late Raymond) Lepkowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and many dear friends. Don attended Tomahawk High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BS in Chemistry and Zoology), and Northern Illinois University-DeKalb (Master of Science). Proudly served in the U.S. Army and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service. He was the Assistant Director of the Division of Biological & Medical Research at Argonne National Laboratory until his retirement in 2002 after 37 years of dedicated service. He was an avid golfer, gardener, and fisherman. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Tues. March 8, 2011, 11-1:30PM with a procession to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3222 S. 29th St. Milwaukee, WI, for Mass of Christian Burial at 2PM. Private entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated; or plant a tree in Don's name, or enjoy a round of golf with family/friends to celebrate his life.
