York, Donald A. Age 73 years. Died peacefully surrounded by his family on February 25, 2008. Beloved husband and best friend of Janice (nee Laclaw) for 48 years. Loving dad of David (Dawn), Chris (Nora), Sue (Jim) and Tom (Mary Jo). Proud grandpa of Jami (Gil) Hernandez, Eddie, Pat, Carolan, Jack, Emily, Brian, Dan and Jenna York. Cherished great grandpa of Avalee and Basilio ''Buzz'' Hernandez. Dear brother of Lelia (Owen) Leisch. Brother-in-law of Marione (Joe) Weeks. Son-in-law of Elsie Laclaw. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial mass Friday 11 am at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CHURCH (7963 S. 116th Street, Franklin). Visitation Friday 9:30-11 AM at the church. Private interment. Don was very active in the Franklin community in various elected and volunteer positions, was a longtime Franklin Lion and was retired from Plumbers Local #75. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
