Schmidt, Donald A. "Donny" Entered God's Loving Arms on Sunday, March 6, 2011, surrounded by his loving family and Pastor Burgess. Precious grade school sweet-heart and beloved husband of Laura (nee Vonckx) for 38 years. Loving son of Valerie and Roger Webster. Cherished brother of Betty (Cary) Kopecky and Judy (Larry) Steppke. Best friends with Barb and Bob Ciecinski. Also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 7900 Nicholson Rd., Caledonia, on Friday, March 11 from 4-6pm. Memorial Service at 6pm followed by Military Honors. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or the church, appreciated. Donny proudly served in the US Army from August 1971 to August 1974 and then the Reserves from September 1975 until September 1977.
