Dominic S. SanFelippo passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 9th at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of Marlene SanFelippo (nee Rady) for 51 years. Loving father of Christine “Kiki” (Randy) Hettwer, Dominic D. SanFelippo (Jessica Gagliano) and Dennis (Lori) SanFelippo.

Cherished brother to the late Peter (the late Grace) SanFelippo, the late Annie SanFelippo, the late Pietrina (the late Louis) DeMore and Joseph (Pat) SanFelippo. Proud Grandfather of Cody Hettwer, Tessa SanFelippo, Grace SanFelippo and Sawyer SanFelippo. Dominic will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dominic served in the US Army for 2 years during the Korean War. He was a Military Policeman and was stationed in Germany, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. At home, he ran a gas station with his brother Joe where they began selling sod and topsoil. When the sod and topsoil became more profitable, it was the beginning of a new business. He ended up selling sod for over 60 years. During the winters, he had a Christmas tree lot on 66th and Beloit in West Allis which he ran for over 50 years.

Dominic loved collecting stamps and antiques. He often drove to Florida in the springtime to visit his army buddy and good friend Tony. His favorite daily pastime was driving through the park with Snickers (the family dog), listening to classical music and smoking his “stogies” (cigars).

He will be deeply missed.

A visitation in remembrance will be held on Wednesday, February 15th at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, 4747 S. 60th Street, Greenfield from 10:30 am until time of service at 12:30 pm.
