Dolores M. Miscikowski (Nee Nowak). Died on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the age of 90 from complications of cancer. Dolores lived a rich and full life and was known for her generosity and kindness. She married Alvin Miscikowski on February 29, 1944 and they raised a family of three sons and a daughter. Dolores had two passions - her family and sewing. She loved to visit her children and, eventually, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Together, they shared many adventures and generated countless cherished memories. Dolores had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories about her life. But she was also a good listener. Her sewing skills were legendary, and she could often be found working happily in her dungeon surrounded by her sewing machines, spools of thread, scissors, and fabric. For years, she volunteered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, maintaining and repairing vestments. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Alvin S. Miscikowski; her siblings Helen Reuland, Clara Lukowski, Eugene Nowak, and Richard Nowak; her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Miscikowsi; and her grandchild Brad Miscikowski. Dolores is survived by her children Glenn (Lanis Parkinson) Miscikowski, Steve (Sharon) Miscikowski, Doug (Cindy Mattern) Miscikowski, and Maria (Don) Essig; her grandchildren Kristin (Shawn) Peniston, Jeffrey (Pam) Miscikowski, and Wesley Essig; great grandchildren Matthew Miscikowski, Colin Peniston, and Finley Peniston; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel on Friday, April 6 starting at 4PM until time of Memorial Service at 6:30PM. Private burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
