“Where a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”

With loving arms, the Lord welcomed Dolores Lagina-Kantorski home on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on August 7, 1930, Dolores lived a full and vibrant life. She was dedicated, determined and a “doer” with so much to accomplish each day. Her hands were rarely idle, her heart always full of song, and her family and friends first and foremost.

Dolores was a devoted wife to Joseph Lagina for 45 years and Norbert Kantorski for 11. She leaves behind a legacy of love as mother to Susan Kraft (Thomas), James Lagina (Janice), and Linda Ross (Ricky). She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, Andrew Kraft (Amy), Kathryn Kraft (Paul), Julia Coons (Ben), and Joseph Lagina. Dolores is now joyfully reunited with much family and many friends who preceded her passing.

Growing up on a dairy farm in Oshkosh, Dolores saw God’s hand in all things green and growing. She raised her family with the same care, faith and love.

Dolores fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Trinity Memorial (South Shore Aurora) for 19 years. She found happiness in gardening, sewing, and canning. She planned unforgettable family gatherings and was quite famous for her pizzelles. She never forgot a holiday, birthday, or special occasion. Her cursive was impeccable, her whistling – cheerful, and her love of coffee and cinnamon rolls unwavering.

We’ll carry her light, joy and laughter with us forever. Even amidst our sorrow, she leaves us with deep gratitude and our hearts filled with her warm and tender love. Sincere thanks to the beautiful people at Harbour Village Senior Living, Zilber Hospice and Dr. Sandra Scalzitti for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Feeding America- Eastern Wisconsinwill carry on Dolores’ legacy to share delicious food with others.
