Diane R. Kuban

June 30, 1953 — June 20, 2023

Diane R. Kuban, born in Milwaukee, WI on June 30, 1953, breathed her last on June 20, 2023. Diane, a spirited member of the community returned peacefully to her birthplace.

Beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Genevieve Mielke, Diane was a shining beacon of love and generosity. Her husband, Frank Kuban, stands testament to the beautiful life they created together filled with laughter and warmth. She was a devoted mother to daughters, Vicki (Todd) Kaboskey, and Lisa (Mike) Farchione. Each of them inherited her spirit of endurance and resilience, character traits that were just as beautiful as the colorful pictures she loved to create. Her grandchildren, Alex Kaboskey, Hanna Kaboskey, and Jenna Farchione, were her pride and joy, carrying forward her loving legacy. Also mourning her loss are her caring brother, Erwin "Bud" (Maria) Mielke, her late sibling, Gary (Renee) Mielke, and her sister, Carol (late Ted) Wallner, along with countless relatives and friends who admired her for her courage and boundless kindness.

Following her education at Pulaski High School, Diane chose a career where she was committed to making people comfortable and at ease. Her work in restaurant and hospitality management was not just a job for her, it was a calling. She showed her leadership skills admirably, leading with empathy and patience. She got immense satisfaction from seeing happy patrons, knowing she had a hand in crafting their enjoyable experience.

Just as she served up savory experiences at work, she poured her heart into every piece she created at home. An artist at heart, Diane was passionate about arts and crafts and would often be found concocting beautiful flower arrangements she made lovingly for homes and weddings. Diane not only found her own solace in her creative pursuits but also spread tranquility with her colorful creations that brightened many homes and events. Just as her art was colorful, so was her life.

Diane was one of those rare souls who loved unconditionally, gave generously, and lived courageously. Her kindness melted away resistance, and her bravery inspired many others to step out of their comfort zones. She was every bit the heroine of her life’s tale, leaving indelible imprints on those fortunate enough to cross her path.

In conclusion, Diane’s story is not one of sorrow, but of a life well-lived and full of love. She may not be with us physically, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the art she left behind. As experience would have it, beautiful souls like Diane never truly leave us, they transition from being life's companions to becoming its inspiring legends. Her obituary may capture an essence of her being, but no words can truly encompass the depth of her vibrant spirit.

In the immortal words of Albert Einstein, "Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us; our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life." In celebrating Diane R. Kuban's glorious journey, let's remember to infuse our lives with love, generosity, and courage- the values she stood for and lived by. Let's honor Diane's memory by continuing to weave the colorful tapestry of life, just as she did every day of her luminous life.
