Diane Mary Tylinski, a beloved mother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Born on October 7, 1963, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Diane was a beacon of love, strength, and generosity, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Diane was the cherished mother of Alina and Amy Tylinski, and the puppy mom to Harvey. She was the loving wife of the late Mark Tylinski, and the daughter of Stanley and Marlene Spryszak. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mark, and his parents Ray and Helen Tylinski. Diane spent her final Tuesday surrounded by many close friends, including the Laske family, which was a testament to the deep bonds of love and friendship she cultivated throughout her life.
A proud graduate of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Diane earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance. She later pursued her passion for education, graduating from Carroll University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. Diane's dedication to learning and her unwavering commitment to her students were hallmarks of her professional life.
Before embarking on her teaching career, Diane worked as a corporate trust officer at U.S. Bank, after which she became a devoted stay-at-home mother to her girls. She then went on to teach at St. Paul's School in Genesee, Wisconsin, and at St. Anthony on the Lake School in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Diane's love for her students was profound, and she would bring them lunch and treat them as if they were her own. She also loved dogs and throughout her life, she cared for Patches, Animosh, Niijii, and Harvey, who each became cherished members of her family.
Diane's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She loved scrapbooking and genealogy, finding joy in preserving memories and tracing her family's history. She was an avid gardener and had a particular fondness for wildflowers. Diane was also an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where she worked backstage on several musical theater productions. Her daughters fondly remember spending time at the elementary school playgrounds in Mukwonago, which were often followed by trips to get ice cream. This was proof of Diane's dedication to creating lasting memories with her family.
Diane will be remembered as a loving mother, a dedicated teacher, and a faithful friend. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, her students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
