Diane Joan Novak (nee Ziarek), age 87, of South Milwaukee, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Born on March 4, 1937, in South Milwaukee, Diane was the cherished daughter of Edward and Alice Ziarek, and later, the stepdaughter of Wanda. Diane graduated from South Milwaukee High School where she forged lifelong friendships.
She began her career at Ladish Drop Forge and moved to the Woodland Golf Course, where she enjoyed the beauty of the greens. Diane's sparkling personality shone brightly during her years as a Sales Representative at a Jewelry Shop, a role she relished until her retirement.
Diane's zest for life was evident in her love for casino trips and tours, she cherished the thrill of the game. Her hands were often busy tending to her garden. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, cats, and horses. Lucky, her cat, was a source of comfort, steadfast by her side until her last days.
Daine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald, her son Gary, her father Edward, her mother Alice, stepmother Wanda, and stepbrother Robert, her legacy is carried forward by a constellation of family and friends. Her cousins from the Howard family, the Liska family, the Ziarek family, and the Weimer family continue to honor her memory, as does her goddaughter, Lisa. Diane's friendships were a testament to her loyalty and warmth, with Mary Ellen, Pat, Diane, Arline, Sharon, and Kathleen sharing countless cherished moments. Neighbors Jackie & Aaron, Annette & Brian, and Jim will remember her fondly for the sense of community she fostered.
We celebrate a life lived with an open heart and a gentle soul, in accordance with Diane’s wishes no services will be held.
