Diane E. Backman (nee Weber) Born to Eternal Life October 30, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 64 years to Jim Backman. Loving mother of Sue (Tom) Scherbert, Nancy (Rich) Biedrzycki, Bruce (Meg) Backman and Julie (Steve) Berg. Proud grandma of Collin (Emily) Scherbert, Amanda (Vitor) Biedrzycki Riera, Caitlin (Nick) Pook, Brian Biedrzycki and Peter and Matthew Backman. Great grandma of Will Scherbert. Survived by her sister Carol Fitzgerald. Also survived by sisters-in-law Darlene Backman and Vi Hansen. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Diane was an active longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran church in Greendale enjoying quilting, knitting, sewing and baking for the benefit of her family, church and community. Visitation will be held at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH (6705 Northway, Greendale WI) on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:15 PM with the funeral service to begin at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Greendale. Private entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
