Diane Anna Jeffrey

Diane, a person of vitality, personality and charm, with family comforting, passed to eternity on the afternoon of Sunday, September 21, 2008. She is the adoring mother of Joseph Jeffrey, daughter of the late Veronica (nee Gasiorowski) and the late Joseph Kubiak, dearest sister of Thomas, John (Mary Ellen) and the late Robert (Barbara) Kubiak. Also at great loss are many family members, friends and co-workers. Diane attended St. Hyacinth primary and Notre Dame High School Class of 1956. She owned and operated "The Orange Tree" boutiques in the North Shore during the 1970's. She also held numerous office positions, marketed industrial supplies and worked throughout her life in the restaurant business beginning with Alexanders Restaurant on Lincoln Ave. In leisure, Diane excelled at tennis, enjoyed gardening and had many dogs, being survived by her beloved "Manny". A special thanks to family - especially nieces Susan and Jennifer, cousin Carolyn, friends - notably Sharon, and the health care professionals of Columbia-St. Mary's who all provided beautiful care for Diane during her difficult illness. A celebration of Diane's life will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, September 28th from 1 to 4 PM at the MAX A. SASS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 29, at 10 AM. at the Basilica of St. Josaphat (S. 6th St. and W. Lincoln Ave.)In lieu of flowers, an assist to your non-profit organization or a memorial to the family would be appreciated.
