Diane was the loving wife of the late Jerome Placzek, with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised a family that was the center of her world. She is survived by her three devoted sons, Mike (Laura) Placzek, Steve (Tammy) Placzek, and Don (Gail) Placzek. Her legacy continues to shine brightly through her seven cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will miss her deeply. She also leaves behind her caring brother, Andy Eder, along with a community of friends and relatives who will fondly remember her indomitable spirit.
A proud graduate of Waconia High School in Minnesota, Diane's dedication to her community was evident through her years of service as a crossing guard in the city of Milwaukee. She was a familiar and reassuring presence at the crosswalks, ensuring the safety of countless children with a smile and a kind word.
Diane's passion for life extended to her love of sports, particularly for her beloved Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers, and the Green Bay Packers. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and game days were always a special occasion in the Placzek household. Diane also found joy in staying active, working out regularly to maintain her health and vitality.
An avid fan of the excitement of casinos, Diane enjoyed the thrill of the craps table and the camaraderie amongst fellow players. However, it was in the kitchen where Diane truly shined. Her cooking was not just a hobby but a way to bring people together, creating memorable meals that were a testament to her love for her family and friends.
Diane's spirit was characterized by her kindness and generosity. She gave freely of herself, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.
