Diana L. Heuer

August 6, 1955 — August 1, 2023

Diana L. Heuer

Taken from her loved ones on August 1, 2023 at the age of 67. Will be laid to rest next to her father Orion Heuer. Beloved daughter of Helen Borchardt. Loving mom to Lisa Susee, Lynette (Mark) Pulvino and Leah Schulz. Loving grandma to Marisa Pulvino, Lynnisa VanAcker, Kayla Weinkauf, Brynn Susee, Jacob Kerznar and Raegan Susee. Sister of Luann (Denny) Burdick and Candy (Jay) Borchardt. Further survived by niece Sheree (Doug) Mack, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

June of 2020 Diana was diagnosed with stage four lung metastatic brain cancer. That did not stop her, not even a little. Her journey was not at all coming to an end. She continued to work for a few months after her being diagnosed and shortly after her retirement she started her first round of radiation. To say it was tough would be an understatement but Diana never gave up. A year later, in June of 2021 Diana, her daughter, youngest sister, and oldest granddaughter took a trip to Niagara Falls.

Something that has always been on Diana's bucket list. A year after that she moved in with her middle daughter and her family, and then August of 2023 she passed. She lived a beautiful 3 years with such a disgusting illness but she still experienced all she could. She spent lots of time with her sisters, nieces, children and her grandchildren that she cherished so much. Cancer did not stop Diana from living, it only made everyone cherish the time she lived with us.

Diana was a cat loving, full of spunk, love, sass and a work ethic that would leave you in aw. All of which will be missed but never forgotten because she definitely gave it to the rest of her family. She was a strong woman, from raising her three daughters on her own, running her own business, and being a very active part of the raising of her grandchildren. The strength she has never went unnoticed, she was bound and determined to do just about anything regardless if it was what others wanted or not. She lived her entire life fighting for her family and doing what she knew was best no matter how hard it was. Diana owned her own cleaning business for many decades, she truly loved her job and built many friendships with the people whose homes she cleaned. What started as a job turned into a foundation of many lifelong friendships and people who she would consider family. When Diana was not working she spent her free time with her family, baking, cooking, sewing, and doing many arts and craft projects. Her projects live on in the homes of her family and friends, and her recipes will be used for years to come by the people she loved the most.

August of 2022 Diana was put on Hospice. It was a decision made with the intent of Diana living as comfortably as possible. The Aurora Hospice team was a wonderful group of people that did everything in their power to support both Diana and her family during the final year of life. A special thank you to her Nurse Beth, CNA Becky, and the Chaplin Angie who made Diana's experience as best as they possibly could. They hold a special place in our families hearts and we appreciate them greatly.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home (W173 S7629 Westwood Drive in Muskego) on Friday September 29th from 4-6 pm with the service starting at 6 pm.
