Deloris (Dolly) Koepke (nee Kowalski) passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of November 21, 2022 at the age of 88; the last of eight siblings.
Dolly is survived by two grandsons, Tyler and Ben Veternick, as well as her long-time fiancé and loving partner Thomas Peltier. Deloris is further survived by Tom’s family and was a surrogate Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was the loving and proud mother of Kara Helt (1965-2015) as well as the faithfully committed wife of Richard “Dick” Koepke (1933-1994).
Born on December 14,1933, Dolly was a lifelong resident of Milwaukee and loved the town she called home. She worked as a teller for M&I bank before leaving her job to be a full-time home-maker and mother. Dolly will be forever remembered by friends and family alike as a sweet, funny, and caring lady.
She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Dolly joined Tom’s daughter on business trips to ‘the good places” like Bermuda, England, Hawaii, New Orleans, Massachusetts and Arizona. Dolly especially loved London and frequently trekked down Brompton Rd for another visit to Harrods.
She exuded grandmotherly energy, with candy always at the ready, and time to sit and talk about whatever was on your mind.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 11am to 1pm at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, 1515 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215. Burial services at 1:30pm at Pilgrim’s Rest, 3110 W Forest Home Ave, Milwaukee, WI
