Delores K. Menehan

MENEHAN, Delores K. (nee HAASE) of Franklin, WI passed away peacefully into Eternal Life on August 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born August 30, 1929 in Waupaca, WI to Alice (Gunderson) and Rudie Haase. Graduated from Weyauwega High School and earned a business and secretarial degree from Bryant and Stratton College, Milwaukee. After receiving a superior rating on a Civil Service examination, she was selected as the Administrative Assistant to the Commandant of the Grand Army Home for Veterans, King, WI. Delores married William Menehan and moved to Milwaukee. She retired from the Sigma-Aldrich Corporation after 17 years as assistant to Vice President of Operations. She was commended for never missing a day of work. She then worked part-time for the Kohls Corporation until she was 79. She is survived by three daughters, Frances (Thomas) Sihvola, Palm City, FL, Diana (John) Davis, Naples FL, and Judith (Randy) Pruss, Franklin, WI. Also blessed with three wonderful grandchildren, Michael Sihvola, Renee Sihvola, and Jennifer (Thomas) Hrycyna. Also, three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by William Menehan, parents, grandson Tommy Sihvola, sister Ellen Glock, brothers Harlan and Donald Haase. Survived by brothers Gene (Marlene) Haase, Waupaca, WI and Glenn (Mary Jo) Haase, Rochester, MN, sister-in-law Carla Haase, Huntersville, NC, and special friends, Anna N., Ruth T; other nieces, nephews and caring neighbors. A Celebration of Deloress life will be held on Thursday August 30, 2018 from 3:30 until 5:30 pm with a service of remembrance at 5:30 pm. Delores was an inspiration to all and worked tirelessly to ensure all three of her daughters graduated from college to lead successful lives. Her last words were, I am so proud of each one of my daughters. I love my family and I have had a wonderful life.
