Woelbing, Debbie (nee Mettelmann) Found peace after a courageous battle with cancer on November 27, 2011 at the age of 53. Loving wife of Eric. Cherished and devoted mom of Dan (Sarah) Borkowski, Amy (Tom) Chojnowski, Matt (Katie) Borkowski, Jayme Woelbing and Ashley Woelbing. Proud nana of Alexis and Kalsie Chojnowski. Sister of the late Michael Mettelmann and Vicki Mettelmann. Dear sister-in-law of Paul Woelbing. Dear "daughter" of Joyce and Lee Gorski. Daughter-in-law of Marion and the late Don Woelbing. Further survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 pm and with a service at 7 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel. Private entombment Arlington Park Cemetery. Debbie had a double major in education and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, graduating cum laude. She was a dedicated teacher, having taught at Prairie School in Racine and St. Alphonsus in Greendale. After her teaching career her passion for caring led her to a career with the American Red Cross. She was an adventurous spirit who loved aviation and traveling. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Red Cross appreciated.
