David L. Gieryn

Gieryn, David L. Passed away peacefully into Eternal Life on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the age of 74. Loving husband of Barbara Ann (nee Ridiger) for 41 years. Father of Douglas (Jennifer) Gieryn and Sandra (David) Johnson. Step-father of Daniel English. Grandfather of Kayla (Zachary) Mesko, Collin and Melanie Johnson, Reed and Kelly Gieryn and Shannon English. Great-grandfather to Sophia and Adelina. Son of the late Leonard W. Gieryn and Agnes (nee Szceszinski). Preceded in death by grandson Ian Johnson. David is further survived by other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Vitas Ruth Hospice for their care of David. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-South Shore Chapel on Friday, July 15 starting at 10AM until time of service at 12PM. Procession to Forest Hill Memorial Park for entombment to follow.
