David Brylow, age 76, of Milwaukee, died on Saturday, May 21, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. David retired from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department in 1998 after nearly a quarter century of service as deputy and detective. He retired a second time in 2018 after many additional years working for the Forest County Potawatomi Gaming Commission. David was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn Brylow, and sister Jane Smith (Robin). He is survived by loving siblings Daniel (Barbara), Janis, Daryl (Judy), JoAnn Johnson (Kent), and Douglas (Audrey) and beloved uncle Leroy Pogodzinski (Karen Krebs). He leaves behind three sons, Dennis (Petra), Derek (Rebecca) and Anthony; five grandchildren, Annabelle, Josephine, Dexter, Ada and Rhea; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. David was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and model railroad enthusiast, who also enjoyed travel, camping, fishing, vegetable gardening, and card games of all kinds. The family extends its gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Harbour Village Assisted Living and Allay Home Hospice for their compassionate and attentive care. Visitation will take place at Martin Luther Lutheran Church (9235 W Bluemound Rd., Milwaukee) on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 11:00AM until the time of service at 1:00PM. Private burial will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
