Daniel Herbert Hensel “Dapper Dan” Was taken too soon on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the age of 43. Loving son of Terry (Joe) Snow and Jim “Big Dog” (Linda “Doc”) Hensel. Brother of Erin “Vern” (Nick) Nadelhoffer and Doug “Digger” (Katie) Hensel. Cherished grandson of Millie Hensel, Jack Eleyet, and Jolene Hagens. Loved nephew and best friend of Al “UA” Hensel. Forever remembered by Uncle Ken Hensel, Aunt Marcy Trubshaw, Aunt Debbie Spinti, Uncle Tim Eleyet, Aunt Kannika, and Uncle T Assarattanakul. “Master of the cannonball” and fun-loving uncle of Alexandria “Boots” Hensel, Emmamae “Little Buddy” Nadelhoffer, Riley “Double-R” Hensel, Jack “Homey” Daniel Nadelhoffer, Porter “Porterhouse” Hensel, and William “Worm” Nadelhoffer. Dan’s passions were his family first, golf, and his friends. This year on the Summer Solstice, Dan and “UA” played 82 holes of golf, from sunrise to sunset. His passion for sports was surrounded by grilling, family outings, and hanging out with his friends. He was a “handful”…and you all know what we are talking about, but now he is in the loving hands of Jesus. Dan would fill a room with his stories and his character. His passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts. Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Saturday, July 24 starting at 12 noon until time of service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Dan's family who will then create a memorial fund in his name.
