Daniel George Wisniewski II, known affectionately as Dan to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 24, 2024, at the age of 36. Born on August 24, 1987, in Wisconsin, Dan was a spirited soul who lived his life with a contagious enthusiasm that touched everyone he met. He remained a proud resident of Wisconsin throughout his life, deeply rooted in the community he loved.
Dan was the cherished son of Mary Jo Wisniewski and the beloved human of Lucy, his fur baby who was his constant companion and best friend. His family was the cornerstone of his life, including his loving aunts Jane, Jill and Bernie Wisniewski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Lila Wisniewski, and his uncles, Biff “Alan” Bouffiou and Daniel R. Wisniewski. His godparents, Alan and Karen Bouffiou, held a special place in his heart and life. Dan's legacy continues through his cousins Katie (Tim) Lackey, Scott Daniel (Kristie) Wisniewski, Greg (Sarah) Wisniewski, Rachel (Ben) Schoolcraft, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A 2005 graduate of West Allis Hale, where he played football and track. His professional life was marked by his dedication as an employee at First Call Heating and Cooling, where his work ethic and jovial nature made him a favorite among colleagues and clients alike.
Dan's interests were as varied as they were passionate. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, finding solace and adventure in the natural beauty of Wisconsin's wilderness. His love for bowling and the Green Bay Packers spoke to his competitive spirit and his commitment to the community and teams he supported. Dan was also a self-proclaimed cannabis aficionado, embracing the culture with his characteristic zeal and humor. Dan enjoyed watching the show Diner, Drive Ins and Dives, when vacationing in Hawaii, he visited three locations featured on the show.
Above all, Dan was known for his loving nature, his courageous spirit, and his ability to bring laughter into any room. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, never shying away from a challenge, and always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His ability to train and care for his fur baby, Lucy, was a testament to his patience and loving heart.
To have known Dan was to know a life embellished with joy, friendship, and an unwavering zest for life. He was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him, and his departure leaves a void that can never be filled. Yet, his legacy of love, courage, and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends.
