Dale D Wagner, age 88, found peace on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Beloved husband of Darlene of 64 years. Loving father of Cindy, Mike, Lisa, and Jeff (Sue). Dear Grandpa of Justin, Jake (fiancé Laura), and Nick. He is survived by his brother Marlyn "Scoop" and sister Karen Hojek, further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Nora, his son, Pat, sisters, Geraldine and Brenda, brothers, Ron, Gary, and Jim.
Dale grew up on the family farm in Tomah. He was a proud veteran who served in the US Army. He worked for Vilter Manufacturing, an industrial refrigeration company, for 38 years. He was involved with the Jaycees and the soapbox derby in which all 5 of his children participated in. He spent 11 years volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and was an usher at St. Alphonsus Church for many years. He loved nature, gardening, taking walks in nearby parks, and traveling with Darlene. He truly enjoyed playing cards with his family and visiting casinos.
A memorial gathering will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W. Loomis Rd, Greendale) on Thursday, February 29th from 10AM-11:15AM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30AM. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations or contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
