Constance ''Connie'' M. Galian

July 8, 1922 — March 11, 2006

GALIAN, CONSTANCE M. ''CONNIE'' (nee Vollar) passed away peacefully March 11, 2006. She was born July 8, 1922 in Battersea, England. She leaves behind Charles, her beloved husband of 61 years; her devoted son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Polly Galian and loving daughter Sandra Greuel; her adoring grandchildren Christian (Laura Kusomoto) Greuel, Chuck (Wendy) Galian, Adam Greuel, Noel (Todd) Ringe, Troy Greuel; her precious great-granddaughter Samantha Jean Galian and her 3 dear sisters Pearl Blanchette, Daphne Hope and June Richer. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Kate Vollar and brother George Vollar. Many family members and friends both in the United States and England further survive her. Connie met Charles during WWII while he was stationed in England serving in the US Army Air Force. They were married on July 8, 1944 in Battersea. She immigrated to the United States in 1945, but would fondly refer to England as ''home''. Connie enjoyed swimming, teaching trapunto, drawing and afternoon tea. The family would like to thank the staff of Clement Manor for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church appreciated. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 14, 6pm at the Max A. SASS & SONS GREENRIDGE CHAPEL. The Reverend Thomas Krueger presiding.
