Clifford F. Stewart Sr.

Stewart, Clifford F. Jr. Age 88 years. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 2, 2011. Loving husband of Betty Stewart (Nee Kaywood). Loving father of John (Lilibeth) Stewart and Janice (Jim) VanMeveren. Dear brother of Marion Schmitz. Further survived by five grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Sr. (Kathryn) Stewart and his sisters Rosalie and Jane. He grew up in Evanston Illinois and served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in the Phillipines. Cliff moved from the Chicago area to Wisconsin in 1965, residing first in Cudahy before moving to Greendale where he and Betty have lived for the last 44 years. Cliff enjoyed living life to the fullest for 88 years. He loved travel, winters in Florida, going out for a good meal, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his family and loved ones. Cliff will be remembered as a kind, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the compassionate care givers of VITAS Hospice and Northfield Manor for their help in caring for Cliff during the last few weeks of his life. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Tuesday February 8, 2011 from 4 PM until time of services at 7 PM. Interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday at 12 Noon.
