Charles Burley Jr. passed away on May 14, 2022 at the age of 88. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family and friends deeply saddened. He will be truly missed in so many ways. Chuck is survived by his wife of 64 years JoAnn; Daughters, Allyson and Pamela (Jerry); Grandchildren, Jordan (Jesse) and Jacob. Charles (Chuck) was born in 1933 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Charles and Beatrice Burley. After high school, he attended Ohio University where he graduated with a MBA. In 1956, he became a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force where he served until his honorable discharge in 1968. After college, he began his 33-year career at Ladish Co. (later ATI), retiring in 1993 as the Vice President of Strategy. Chuck was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He was his family's biggest cheerleader in any activity that they were involved in, even in unpredictable Wisconsin weather at softball and baseball games. A lover of all animals, he had a special place in his heart for dogs. Starting with his childhood beagle Rusty, he shared his love with numerous family pets through the years including many hours walking his "granddogs" in local parks. Chuck also enjoyed a love of reading, golf and fixing things around the house. A celebration of life will be held in lieu of a traditional funeral on July 10, 2022 from 2-5 pm at Greenfield Community Center, 7215 W Cold Spring Rd, Greenfield. Donations in honor of Chuck can be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society at https://www.wihumane.org/donate.
