(Nee Clark) Joyfully entered Gods heavenly kingdom on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved and devoted wife of Rev. Joseph Isaac Sanders for 63 years. Loving mother of Jenneane (Bill) Sanders-Eakin, Steven (Rand Schmidt) Sanders and Peter (Sandy) Sanders. Proud grandmother of Jessica June, Beth, Rachel and Katie. Great-grandmother of Olive Ruby, Eli Royal and the late Ruby Rose. Cherished sister of Rev. David (Helen) Clark. Also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. The eldest child of Douglas and Charlotte Clark, Carolyn was born July 11, 1932 in Endicott, New York. She and her younger brother David had what she called a normal childhood. She studied the violin and sang alto in school and church choral groups. Following graduation from high school, she entered Bethel College in St Paul, Minnesota to pursue a major in religious education. She met Joe in September of 1953 and sure enough they fell in love and were married on June 12, 1954. Carolyn worked as a secretary until Jenneane was born in November 1955. Carolyn was a homemaker and pastors wife until 1967 when she took a position as a part-time secretary and library clerk in the Brown Deer School District. Carolyn then worked in diverse jobs, including executive secretary at Marquette University and Moebius Printing Company, personnel manager in two different small companies, and administrative assistant to the Director of Quality at Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation where she retired. Carolyn was a very passionate woman who wore her heart on her sleeve. Her passions included her faith, her family and her love of animals. She cared so much for others because she could see the good in everyone. She embraced life with her zest for living and followed her many passions until the end.
