Carollyn S. Sliwicki, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 85, in Oak Creek, WI. She was born on August 18, 1938, in Milwaukee, WI.
Carollyn's journey in healthcare began at the Milwaukee County Nursing School, where her bright spirit and cheerful nature earned her the affectionate nickname "Tweety Bird" among her classmates. After graduating, she dedicated her life to helping others as a staff nurse at Trinity Hospital in Cudahy, and at South Milwaukee Clinic. Carollyn's commitment to her patients and colleagues was unwavering, and she continued to provide compassionate care until her retirement from Fine - Lando Clinic.
In her personal life, Carollyn was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, ready to explore new worlds and ideas. Her sense of adventure extended beyond the pages of novels, as she relished going on cruises and traveling with her beloved husband, Robert. They shared many unforgettable journeys together until Robert's passing in September of 2019. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with mutual respect, laughter, and an unbreakable bond.
Retirement allowed Carollyn to focus on one of her greatest joys: her grandchildren. She was incredibly involved in their lives, offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love. Her presence at school events, sports games, and family gatherings was a testament to her dedication to her family.
Cherished mother of David (Kristin) Sliwicki of Madison, Michael (Christine) Sliwicki of Chicago, and Susan (Tom) Meister of New Berlin. Proud and loving grandmother of seven grandchildren: Andrew and Amy Sliwicki, Mia, Mason and Mitchell Meister and Violeta and Anabella Sliwicki, brothers-in-law William (Kathy) Sliwicki and Raymond Sliwicki. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, other family and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents Sylvia and Toby and her husband Robert.
