Carol A. Anderson

Carol Anderson, 91, a longtime resident of Milwaukee and Florence, Wisconsin, died on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Milwaukee. Carol was born on December 8, 1929, in Milwaukee, to parents Otto and Irene (Salo) Kolberg. After graduating from Florence High School in 1948, she moved to Milwaukee, and worked as a secretary and stenographer at Blatz Brewery and Shadbolt & Boyd Company. Carol was united in marriage to Roger Anderson on December 11, 1954, in Florence, Wisconsin. Carol and Roger settled on the southwest side of Milwaukee, where they raised four boys. In 1974, Carol began a second career in the Milwaukee Public Schools as a school cook, from which she proudly retired in 1994. In retirement, Carol and Roger enjoyed winters in Sun City West, Arizona, and summers on Keyes Lake in Wisconsin. They also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and visits with their family. Later in life, Carol made many new friends at her residence at Tudor Oaks in Muskego, Wisconsin. Carol is survived by 3 sons: James (married to Michelle), Bill (married to Margie), and Dale (married to Janet); 8 grandchildren: Amanda (Patrick) Burke, Michael (Kaitlin), Daniel (Claire), Andy, Stacy, Emma, Charlotte, and Sophie; 4 great-grandchildren: Connor, Shane, Reese, and Lanie; and her older brother, Kenneth Kolberg. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her son, Allen; her siblings, Otto Jr. and Faye; and her daughter-in-law, Shelly. Funeral services for Carol Anderson will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00p.m. at Southbrook Church, 11010 W. St. Martins Road. Private interment will be held at a later date in Sun City West, Arizona, where she will be laid to rest next to Roger and Allen.
