Sarnowski, Burton Of Oak Creek. Burt returned home to the Lord on his 90th birthday, October 7, 2014. He was reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Mary (nee Corrao). Proud father of his loving and devoted daughter, Linda, his terrific son-in-law Jim Struhar and his faithful canine companion, Lucky. Dear brother of Rita Lehrer and Michael Sarnowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents Michael and Helen, brothers Alvin, Harry and sister Virginia. Retired employee of the US Postal Service. Burt was the past president of the American Postal Workers Union and served in several union positions throughout his career with the post office. He was a member of American Legion post 203. Burt was a proud US Navy Veteran serving in World War II. Visitation at St Matthew Parish, 9303 S. Chicago Rd. Oak Creek, Friday October 10, 9am- 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial with military honors to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
