Bruce Winston Peterson

Peterson, Bruce W. Age 81 years. Joined his beloved wife Marilynn in Heaven on March 31, 2007. Loving father of Kristen P. Edwards, Marcia (Kim “Jake”) Jacobek, Joyce P. (James) Gott and Richard K. (Jeanine) Peterson. Proud grandpa of Michele Chiono, Kenneth (Sheena) Chiono and Duncan and Graysen Peterson. Great grandpa of Kayden Chiono and Dylan Newsome. Dear brother of Elaine (Don) Kreutzian, Charlene Epis, DuWayne (Roslyn) Peterson, Sharon (Ken) Schweitzer, the late Ramona (Al) Filipek and the late Charles (Juanita) Peterson. Further survived by nieces, nephews, his companion cat Percy and friends. Services June 11, 2007 at Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield, MN 12:30PM. Inurnment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:30PM. Bruce’s passing was on the 100 year anniversary of his mother Freda’s birth, which began his lifelong pursuit of service, starting with the Boy Scouts in his youth, being a decorated World War II veteran, earning the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart, then serving as a professional with the Boy Scouts of America for 31 years, ultimately as District Executive.
