Brian “Roy” William Orozco, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 41. Born on July 16, 1982, in West Allis, Wisconsin.
He was a devoted father to his children, Harper and Bennett, who will forever cherish memories of their dad's laughter and unwavering support. Brian's love extended to his mother, Karen (Bo) Southerlin, his father, Mark (Diane) Orozco, and his brother, Gregory Orozco. His family circle included his stepbrothers, Brandon, Kyle (Alyssa) Southerlin, Peter and Matthew Stojanovic, his loving grandfather, Chester Grobschmidt, his special cousin, Becka Sellnow, as well as the mother of his children, Kelly Meyer. Brian is further survived by his significant other, Melissa Torres, aunts, uncles, relatives, numerous friends who will all miss him deeply.
A testament to his dedication and work ethic, Brian earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. His professional journey was marked by 15 successful years in sales at Beer Capital, followed by a fulfilling tenure at Direct Drive for the last 5 years. Colleagues and clients alike respected Brian for his integrity, commitment, and the genuine care he brought to his work.
Outside of his professional life, Brian was an avid golfer with an impressive 3 handicap. He celebrated a memorable round of capturing a 66 at Whitnall Park, a testament to his skill and passion for the game. His love of sports was all-encompassing; Brian was a walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge, a dedicated fan, and an active participant as a referee. His interests were diverse, including fishing, collecting baseball cards, and watching golf on television. Brian’s talent extended to the kitchen, where he enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Brian will remember him for his great sense of humor, which never failed to lift the spirits of those around him. He was courageous in the face of life's challenges, always facing them head-on with a kind heart and a smile. His ability to bring laughter and joy to any situation was a rare gift that made him a great friend and a true family man.
Brian’s legacy is one of laughter, courage, and kindness. He made an indelible mark on the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to cross paths with him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, family, and friends, who will continue to be inspired by the life he led and the love he shared.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2023, at Divine Mercy Parish (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee) from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Brian Orozco Memorial Fund with Pryamax Bank.
