It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian J. Miller, who left this world on April 7, 2025, at Zilber Family Hospice after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born on March 27, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Brian's journey through life was marked by a vibrant spirit, a boundless enthusiasm for living, and a professional career that spanned over four decades as a beloved medical graphic artist at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.
A graduate of Boys Tech and holding an Associate in Commercial Arts from MATC, Brian embarked on a career that allowed him to blend his artistic talent with the noble field of medicine, leaving a remarkable impact on those he worked with. His outgoing nature and generous heart endeared him to many—friends and colleagues alike.
Brian’s life was enriched by the countless memories he shared with his son, Shaun. Together, they explored the depths of Chicago's record stores and reveled in attending live concerts, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Sundays brought him joy as he spent them enjoying dinner with his girlfriend, Sue Beining, where laughter and leftovers reigned supreme—testament to his vibrant and social personality.
In addition to his immediate family, Brian was surrounded by loving siblings: Larry (Marilyn), Pat (Paul) Piotrowkski, Dennis (Pat) and his cherished nieces and nephews: Joy, Jaclyn, Kelli, Greg, Dan, and Katie, who looked up to him with admiration. He will also be lovingly remembered by his former spouse, Julie Miller. Though he is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harry and Bernice, and his sister Chris, along with brother-in-law Jeff Pomeroy, Brian’s legacy lives on through the stories and laughter he cultivated with those he loved.
A man who was never afraid to embrace new experiences, Brian thrived on spontaneity; whether it was treasure hunting at thrift stores, sharing a spirited game of sheepshead with friends, or taking a leisurely drive with the windows down and the music blaring, he demonstrated an insatiable zest for life that was infectious.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brian's life on April 12, 2025. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, hosted at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel, located at 4747 S. 60th Street in Greenfield, WI.
As we reflect on Brian's life, we remember a kind-hearted soul whose laughter, creativity, and love offered light in the lives of many. His absence will be felt deeply, yet the colorful memories he created will continue to play on in our hearts.
Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Brian's name if so desired.
