Spottek, Brian James Born to Eternal Life on December 22, 2006 at the age of 68, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Yanasak) Spottek. Loving father of Mark (Mary), Michael (Lynn), Jason and the late Jeffrey. Proud grandfather of Jessica, Alexander, Rachael, Nicole and Azalea. Preceded in death by his first wife Joan (Siemieniecki), parents Lester and Marion Spottek and parents-in-law Walter and Mary Siemieniecki and Kathryn Yanasak. He is survived by his brother Roger (Mary) Spottek and father-in-law Benjamin Yanasak. Further survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Brian enjoyed golfing, especially with his family, swimming, volleyball, shooting hoops, playing and coaching baseball; he had a love for the outdoors including fishing, hunting, gardening and backyard barbecues. He had a special interest in carpentry, cooking and traveling. He was always up to the challenge of solving crossword and SuDoku puzzles or a good game of cards. He gladly mixed his signature Old Fashion for whoever cared for one. He spent his last few years deepening his relationship with our Lord Jesus in faithful prayer and serving Him through his suffering. Brian served in the US Army and was a retired detective with the Milwaukee County Sheriffs Department. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (8500 W. Coldspring Road). Family and friends will meet directly at church. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM. at the funeral home. Vigil service Tuesday 6:30 PM.
