Betty L Lemmer

May 6, 1928 — February 13, 2024

Betty Lemmer, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, at the age of 95, in South Milwaukee. Born on May 6, 1928, in Milwaukee, Betty spent her life spreading joy and kindness to everyone she encountered. Her warm presence and infectious humor were a comfort and delight to all who knew her.

Betty was the cherished wife of the late Francis Lemmer, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, creating a family that would be Betty's pride and joy. Betty was a loving mother to her sons, Roy (Pat) and Ronald (Karen), and daughters, Linda (John) and Mary (Robert). She was the adored grandmother to Roy Jr, Rory, Gina, Justin, Kelly, Christopher, Kerry, and Kristina, and the proud great-grandmother of 14, as well as a great-great-grandmother of 5. Her family was her world, and she infused every gathering with her spirit of generosity and fun.

Betty had a zest for life that was evident in her many interests. A skilled yodeler, she could often be heard sharing her talent at family gatherings and her assisted living community, bringing smiles to the faces of all who listened. Her collection of Cherished Teddies was a testament to her playful nature and love for the simple joys in life. Betty also enjoyed the thrill of bingo, where her laughter and good luck were as bountiful as her winnings.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Betty will remember her as a loving, funny, and kind soul. She navigated life's challenges with grace and humor, and her ability to find happiness in every day was an inspiration. Betty's legacy is one of unconditional love and the enduring power of a positive outlook.

As we say goodbye to Betty Lemmer, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was. Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories she created with her family and friends, and in the lessons of love and kindness she imparted. Betty's life was a beautiful testament to the joy that can be found in cherishing the people and passions that make life worth living.

Betty's family will hold a celebration of life, where they will share stories, laughter, and tears, honoring the incredible woman who touched so many lives. As the matriarch of her family, Betty's influence will be felt for generations to come. Her unwavering love and the happiness she spread will be her lasting legacy.

In her 95 years, Betty Lemmer lived fully and loved deeply. We take comfort in knowing she was reunited with her beloved Francis on what would have been their 77th wedding anniversary. Betty's life was a journey of joy, and she has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed, yet her memory will forever be a source of strength and joy for those who were blessed to know her.
