She is preceded in death by her parents Louise and William Rauch, brother Maynard , husband Gilbert and grandson John Gilbert Evans. Betty and Gil met at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee in October 1951. She had an eye for a good looking guy. They eloped in February 1952 in Crown Point, IN. Betty and Gil went to Vegas 25 times together throughout their marriage. Gilbert was her True Love. Betty and Gil had 2 daughters, Deborah Lee (John Evans) Rychlowski and Gail Lynn Rychlowski, both currently of Madison, WI. The family resided in West Allis, WI. Also surviving are Betty's five grandchildren, Anne, Jane, Bill, Jim and Mary Evans. Betty was also a "Grandma Cat" to Paulie Gilbert and Lenny Joseph. She worked at Wisconsin Cheese Guild for several years. She was a good cook and took great pride in her gardening. In 2005 Betty moved to Madison and lived with her daughter Gail until 2011 when she became part of the Wynwood/Brookdale family in February 2012. She was a caring friend to many of the residents there. She was very active, enjoying bowling, bingo, Hymn singing and many outings with her friends there. Betty had a great sense of humor and the laughter she shared with others and family will echo in the halls of Wynwood in the years to come. So many wonderful people to thank for all of their kindness and care: Wynwood/Brookdale of Madison, the doctors, nurses and staff at UW Hospital in Madison. 2015 was a tough year for Mom's health, but through it all she stayed strong and tried her best to hang in there for us. She will be missed by many and not forgotten. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Monday, November 2 from 11 am - 1 pm. Funeral Service at 1 pm. Burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
