Bessie F. Dyszelski

December 19, 1923 — May 18, 2023

Dyszelski, Bessie F.(Nee Johnson) Age 99. Passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023. Beloved wife for 65 years of (the late) Leonard Dyszelski. Cherished mother of (the late) Mark (Helen) Dyszelski and Brian (Donna) Dyszelski. Loving grandma of Daniel Dyszelski, Benjamin (Melissa) Dyszelski, Brian Harper, Jenni (Gregg) Glowinski, and Kelli (Chad) Slominski. Great-grandma of Kayley (Valerie) Dyszelski, Emma and Jack Harper, Jarred (Dalila) Glowinski, Colin (Paige) Glowinski, Hayden Glowinski, Olivia Slominski, and another great-grandson due in July.

Bessie was born and raised on a farm in Lone Rock, WI. After high school she attended a Technical College in Madison, WI. Upon graduating Bessie moved to Milwaukee and worked for Chain Belt Company making munitions during World War II. After the war she met and married Leonard, and they settled on Milwaukee’s South Side, where they raised their family. She was an employee of Wisconsin Electric Company for 30 years.

Bessie and Leonard enjoyed summers at their place on the Mississippi River and winters in McAllen, TX. She was a lifelong baseball fan, die hard for the Brewers, loved traveling and going on cruises with Leonard, gardening, and spending holidays with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.


Visitation at the MAX A. SASS & SONS MISSION HILLS CHAPEL (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM until time of services at 6:00 PM. Private inurnment will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee.
