Wagener Beryl E. (Nee Hubbard) Age 94. Ended her earthly Journey on Saturday January 21, 2012 at Brookfield Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident for the last 3 years. She was born to Bert and Ruth Hubbard of Thorp, WI. On November 2, 1917 and attended Thorp Schools She married Marce John Wagener on May 17, 1941 and they celebrated 67years together until his death in 2008. Beryl worked beside her husband as a country cheese maker in Stanley, WI and Stockton, IL. until 1962 when they moved to Muskego, WI. While raising her family, she baked pies for restaurants and cleaned homes for professionals. She spent many years assisting Don and Marilyn Horner. Beryl was an active member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Leonard Parish of Muskego since the early 1960's. She supported and helped at many fundraisers for the Knights of Columbus and was proud spouse of her 4th Degree Knight. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Brookfield "family" of caregivers, social workers and Odyssey Hospice staff who made her life's journey more comfortable. Beryl loved to entertain and bake for her many extended families, play cards, play bingo and care for her local granddaughters, Angie and Chrissy Sawinski through their young formative years. Those two in turn graciously cared for Beryl in her declining years!! Their devotion to their "grandmother" has been amazing! Beryl is survived by her two daughters Jan (Joe) Thraen of Elizabeth, IL. and Mary Beth Wagener of Muskego, WI. And a son Ronald (Melanie) Wagener of Shreveport, LA., Grandchildren Judy (Steve) Backenkeller of Tucson, AZ, Jeannette Thraen of Chicago, IL., Dean (Jan) Wagener, Laurie Selser of Boosier City, LA., Angie (Christopher) Ramsay of West Allis, WI., Chrissy (Zachary) Niedfeldt of Jacksonville, NC., and Steve, Kelly and Sally Maye all of West Allis, WI., Great grandchildren Nicholas and Jade Backenkeller of Tucson, AZ., Hannah Wagener, Gavin Guy, Trevor and Tanner Wagener of Boosier, LA., Taylor Ramsay, Zach, Courtney, Cody, Nicholas, Jacob and Atticus Maye of West Allis, WI., Trinity Schreiber and Corey Busher of Milwaukee, WI. Beryl is also survived by sister-in-law Marion Wagener of Madison, WI. and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends, Carole (Dave) Schacht and Marilyn Horner and Archie and Birdie Mohan of Muskego, WI. Preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, Marce, and one daughter, Alice Maye, grandson John Potter, 2 sisters Evelyn Cook and Alvera Boie, 2 brothers Allen (Ella) and Dean (Dolly) Hubbard all of Thorp, WI. Visitation at St. Leonard Catholic Church, W173 S7743 Westwood Dr. Muskego, Thursday January 26, 9-10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.Burial at Mt.
