Bernice L. King (née Freyer) born in Waukesha, WI on January 20th, 1938 passed away on Friday, March 24th, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice moved to Muskego when she married the love of her life, Jack King, on October 3rd, 1959. Together they built a successful dairy farm, a beautiful family, and a loving marriage of 64 years.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, sewing, and dancing the Polish hop with friends. Bernice cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved selling sweet corn at her stand in Waukesha. She enjoyed talking and forming friendships with her customers for over 48 years. Bernice will be remembered by her beautiful smile and warm heart.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband Jack King, and her four children: Kathy (Don) Ross, Mark (Gina) King, Heidi (Charlie) Martin, and Tammy (Matt) Johnson. Forever cherished and remembered by her eleven grandchildren: Ashley (Craig) Roffers, David (Jennifer) Ross, Mindy (Josh) Luchini, Steven King, Dana (James) King, Ryan (Lindsay) King, Sarah (Austin) Martin, Amber (Wyatt) Martin, Kaitlyn Martin, Jeff (Morgan) Johnson, and Scott Johnson; her five great-grandchildren: Avery, Jack, Waylon, Rylee, Maverick and two more on the way; three sisters: Charlotte, Virginia, Darlene and sister-in-law Kay as well as other close family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Max A Sass and Sons Funeral Home (Westwood Chapel): W173 S7629 Westwood Drive Muskego, WI 53150.
Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30th at Whitnall Park Lutheran Church, 5847 Lilac Lane, Hales Corners, WI 53130, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Service following at 11:00 am. Burial at Rural Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Whitnall Park Lutheran Church.
