Barry M. Tracy

December 14, 1946 — February 5, 2021

Greendale – Barry Tracy, age 74, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, surrounded by family while listening to his favorite Irish folk songs.  He was born in Milwaukee, WI, on December 14, 1946, the son of Carroll and Dorothy (Smith) Tracy.  Barry was drafted, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965, and served in Vietnam.  He then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UW-Milwaukee and worked in Sales for various computer companies. He went back to school to become a Financial Planner and continued in this career until he retired. Barry married Susan Bzdusek in Cudahy, WI on December 5, 1970. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past December.   Barry was Irish to the core and loved listening to Irish music, going to Irish Fest, and going to Irish pubs. One of his favorite memories was going to Ireland in 2017 with his wife, children, and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, playing golf, being a high school football referee, studying history, watching Notre Dame football games, setting up his Dickens Christmas village, and watching the various sporting and musical events of his grandchildren. Barry is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Terry (Erik) Kemper, and son, Sean (Tammy) Tracy. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Erin Kemper, Claire Tracy, Meghan Kemper, Connor Tracy, and Tess Tracy; four sisters-in-law, Terry Bzdusek, Carol Bzdusek, Carla Tracy, and Marge Tracy Dunn. He is further survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers Bill Tracy and Pat Tracy, and brothers-in-law David Bzdusek, Art Bzdusek, and George Bzdusek. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Barry’s family would like to thank Zilber Family Hospice for their kindness and patience in his last days. If desired, memorial donations in Barry's names to Zilber Family Hospice or any Vietnam Veteran program through the VA are appreciated.
