Barbara J. Butkowski

Barbara J Butkowski, affectionately known as Barb to her friends and family passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024 in Bradenton, Fl, at the age of 75. Born on August 5, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI, Barb was a shining example of kindness, entrepreneurship and joie de vivre.

Barb’s early education at St. Mary’s Academy in Milwaukee laid the foundation for her strong Catholic faith. It was at St. Mary’s that she developed the discipline and values that would guide her throughout her life. Her passion for beauty and style led her to a vibrant career in the hairdressing profession. As the co- owner of Precision Hair Designs in Hales Corners, WI, Barb became a respected and beloved figure in the community. Her talent for hair styling was only matched by her ability to connect

with clients on a personal level, making every visit to her salon an experience of warmth and friendship.

Barb was an avid traveler and an enthusiastic participant in hair styling conventions. Her trips to Chicago and Las Vegas allowed her to combine her love to gamble and enjoy fine cuisine. She also enjoyed visiting her much loved brother Stan and his family. After 60 years in Wisconsin Barb relocated to Bradenton, FL where she enjoyed 16 years of warmth and sunshine at Swan Lake Retirement Community and BayVue Nursing & Rehabilitation. During her 8 years at BayVue Barb was a fierce

competitor at BINGO and an enthusiastic participant in arts and crafts. As President of the Resident Council, Barb was instrumental in training new employees on meeting all resident’s needs and wants expeditiously.

As we bid farewell to Barbara J Butkowski, we do so with the knowledge that her life was one well lived. She was a dedicated daughter, supportive sister and Auntie extraordinaire. May she rest in peace, knowing that her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all in the years to come.
