Audrey Brzezinski (nee Acker) passed into Eternal Life at the age of 92. A lifelong resident of Milwaukee County. She is survived by daughter Deborah Brzezinski, son Dale (Jane) Brzezinski, grandson Paul (Jessica) Brzezinski, granddaughter Shannon (Ken) Nook, great granddaughter Ivry Brzezinski, great grandsons: Preston Brzezinski, Jacob Nook & Jaydon (Breanna) Wargin. Preceded in death by her husband David Brzezinski, granddaughter Stephanie Brzezinski, and all her many cherished siblings & extended families.
Audrey was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 19, later confirmed Lupus, but spent many decades over her lifetime still offering excellent care for her family, while working part-time at the local Kmart & providing patients meals from the cafeteria of St. Luke’s Hospital. Later baking her tasty favorites, including her famous “milk cake” for family and friends.
Even after becoming wheelchair bound in the early 90s, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and playing a game of cards or Yahtzee. She also credited Easter Seals with the many opportunities she was given to participate in her passions of painting, ceramics, and yearly trips to local Milwaukee festivals.
She and her husband also owned a local watering hole for decades, offering fun, along with her weekly Sunday potlucks for their many customers & friends at the former “One Way In” previously located on the corner of 6th Street and Burnham Ave (a one-way road east of 6th).
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the historic Forest Home Cemetery. Private family services to be held at a later date. In lieu of any flowers, donations appreciated to the Easterseals of Southeast WI https://www.easterseals.com/wi-se/
