When Arnold retired, he and his wife moved to Rock River Leisure Estates where they enjoyed sitting on the porch and visiting with their grandchildren. Retirement did not last long as he could not sit still. He worked for Home Depot in Janesville and Rhinelander for several years in the electrical department. Arnold was a strong humble man who would do anything for his family, he took care of his wife for many years when she was ill and never complained. Arnold lite up a room and was adored by everyone that knew him. He finally retired and moved to Greenfield where he spent the remainder of his life with his family and his sweetheart Chris. Arnold had many hobbies, but woodworking was his favorite. He built several cradles for his grandchildren, a beautiful front door for his son’s house, he also remodeled and built many homes for his wife and children. Although, he loved spending his day in the work shed tinkering and fixing everything, his main passion later in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Arnold was a superhero to his family, although, his battle with Alzheimer’s was courageous, God decided that he had a higher purpose. He will truly be missed by everyone he touched. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Elizabeth Residence and Heartland Hospice for taking such good care of their dad. Visitation will take place at Max A.
