Arlene M. Marx

Arlene M Marx (Nee Koceja) age 89 passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Loving wife of 61 years to her late husband Richard. Proud and loving mother of four daughters; Laura Marx (Rick Thrun), Diane Marx, Susie (Bob) Boen and Kim (Darryl) Shelton. Dear grandmother to Bobby, Sarah (Kevin), Erica (Mark) Cassidy (Evan) and Samantha. Further survived by great grandchildren, her sisters Grace Kwiecinski and Rita Marshall, other relatives, friends and her good friend the late Robert Peshman who taught her how to play Sheepshead at 85 years old. Arlene was the official Ambassador of Oak Park Place where she greeted newcomers and made them feel welcomed and at home in their new surroundings along with the delivering of their daily newspapers. The family would like to thank her second family for all the loving care she received from the staff and caregivers at Oak Park Place, she truly loved all of you. We would also like to thank the Brighton Hospice team who kept her comfortable. Always remember Arlene who was "dressed to the nines", enjoyed a Brandy old fashioned, a good fish fry, playing cards, Bingo and always welcomed a good conversation. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all while wearing her beautiful smile. Private family services will be held.
